UPDATE AUGUST 20: Closed the store here. We'll have parts here again, but we will use PayPal or perhaps Google or both. V4 Market is the place to go for all parts.
The search for a reliable and affordable manufacturer in Asia did not work out. However, we have come across other manufacturing methods that might fit our needs and we are pursuing those.


UPDATE AUGUST 3: I went ahead and set the DNS servers for the other store. This is jumping the gun a bit, but it might take a while and I want to be ready when the merchant account reps are. Go ahead and click it, if it's not active, go to the August 2nd update below and click the Under construction link:


I'll be canceling the shopping cart on this site in a day or two and use Paypal exclusively here.


UPDATE AUGUST 2: Here is the under construction V4 Market store. The shipping hasn't been worked out yet, so ignore the rates. New stuff will be added as we go along.
As for our own brand products, well we fear we must give up on making them in the good ol' U.S.A. It's just too expensive to set up production of anything in this country unless you are going to make and sell several thousand units a year, or unless you are making products for the wealthy. We are forced to look east.

UPDATE JULY 29: We have signed with 3dCart for the full store. It will be V4Market.com and will carry all the items you will see here, plus others from our drop shippers.
This site will remain, and will be the home of products that we stock and ship, even though these products will also be available on V4Market.
We are currently building that store, setting up merchant accounts, and setting up our shipping methods and drop shippers. We should have all but the merchant account ready by Tuesday, August 4, and there should be a Paypal Express on there by then.

UPDATE JULY 19: We feel that we may do a complete overhaul of our model. We originally intended to use this site to sell both our own products, and those from independent small suppliers as drop shippers. As mentioned before, this cart will not work for that, it is only geared for us to sell our own stuff.
So tentatively, we will use this site for our own stuff, at least as soon as we have something of our own. We may dump the shopping cart anyway and go for a straight PayPal and/or Google solution.
We are currently evaluating two possible complete ecommerce solutions and looking for more. When we settle on one, we will open it under a different name and that will be the one in which we sell from drop shippers and will include our own parts as well.

UDATE JULY 17: We have found that the shopping cart software we selected is hopelessly inflexible in selecting shipping options. We are in the process of trying to find a replacement. In addition, the software is not set up to accommodate drop shipping, which will be the bulk of our vendors.
We are also behind on getting our own branded products produced by fully a month.
We had been shooting to have all the technical issues ironed out by tomorrow, July 18, but that is not going to happen. Until we can evaluate the shopping cart alternatives and make a selection, nothing further will be happening here.
We apologize for the delay. Be assured that we are doing our level best to straighten this out.

UPDATE July 13. The shopping page is up, don't buy anything yet, not tested. You can see it and its glorious two products if you click the online store button in the navbar.
I signed up for a PayPal Express checkout. I still need to get the merchant account activated for folks who don't use Paypal.

UPDATE: We ran into a few snags and full launch is delayed.
In the meantime, we are looking for suggestions that may help us better serve you.

For example, we will try to keep all images & logos under 50k as much as we reasonably can. We may have to push some out to 100k, but we don't want to go more than that. We also don't intend to use very many images outside of categories and products. Let us know if there's any loading problems, or if anything doesn't show correctly.

We already changed the colors to more of a blue, except for the stripe that appears just above the page title. We're not likely to do any further color changes, but feel free to suggest it if our colors are making you feel queasy.
If you have any layout suggestions, let us know, but we are very limited.

In the beginning, we will only have stuff for early bikes, so no Super Magnas for example. We also will not have anything for the VF700's nor ST's till later, it will all be early V30, V45 and V65. Don't yell at us about that just yet, we need to add suppliers and stock carefully. Trying to service everyone at once may result in reduced quality.
